This event promotes community involvement and active living in Downtown Kingston. Listen to live music throughout the day, participate in kids' activities, and savour free samples and giveaways! 

The Emancipation Day Black Block Party is an event dedicated to commemorating and celebrating the progress we have made toward achieving equality and highlighting local Black-owned businesses, artists and creators. What better way to celebrate then with a full day of activities downtown, including black-owned market vendors, children's activities, live music & dance lessons!

Head down to Springer Market Square on any Thursday night this August and enjoy this year’s Movies in the Sqaure movie lineup, including beloved classics such as Freaky Friday, Barbie, and Mission Impossible.

Lovers of Big Band music will go crazy this season for Swingin' Summer! Jazzy, joyful tunes will be filling the Springer Market Square ampitheatre every Wednesday starting at 7:00pm. Come out and swing along to the tunes of Kingston's best big bands! PLUS enjoy free swing dancing lessons at 6:00pm on August 7 and August 21!

Dust off your cowboy boots and blue jeans because your favourite local country music artists are Kickin' It Country every Friday in Springer Market Square starting at 7:00pm. Come down early for free line and square dancing lessons every Friday before the show!

Immerse yourself in the sound of Kingston's best local musicians at Saturday Sessions! Three acts from a variety of genres will perform on the Confederation Park stage from 11:30am to 3:30pm every Saturday! A perfect opportunity to set down your shopping bags, rest your feet and enjoy the beautiful outdoors with some catchy tunes.

Ever wondered how downtown restaurants make their dishes taste so good?! Well, now you can find out when chefs from your favourite restaurants prepare their delicious creations (using locally-sourced ingredients) in the Springer Market Square ampitheatre every Saturday! Following the demonstration, samples are available for just $2!
