Parking in downtown Kingston couldn’t be easier – with nearly 1000 on-street spaces and nearly 2000 spaces in the surrounding public lots.
On-street parking ranges from $1.50 to $2 per hour and most parking lots are $1.50 per hour.
Various accessible parking spaces are available both on and off-street across the City of Kingston.

City of Kingston lots and privately owned lots also offer monthly parking at reasonable rates within the downtown area. Monthly parking permits range from $84.25 to $145.00 a month.

You can now use the HonkMobile app to find and pay for parking in many of the surface lots downtown. Honk lets you pay for parking from the comfort of your vehicle when you arrive in the lot. You can also use it to add more parking time if you need it from wherever you may be.
How does it work?
- Download the HonkMobile app. Find the app on Google Play or the App Store.
- Set up your account. Add as many vehicles and payment sources as you like to your profile.
- Use HonkMobile to pay for your parking in most downtown municipal parking lots and accessible on-street parking spaces. Available parking lots are shown on the map below and are displayed in the HonkMobile app.
Please note that other on-street parking is not supported by Honk.
Honk is available at these parking lots: Barrack, Drury, Frontenac, Angrove, Springer Memorial, McKee Memorial, Armstrong Memorial, King/Queen, Ontario/Brock, and Upper & Lower Robert Bruce.
Parking for electric vehicles
The City of Kingston has installed 48 public EV charging stations intended for battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
EV parking spaces are marked with green paint and/or signage and cost $1.50 per hour, plus applicable parking fees, to charge their vehicle.
